The Moon

The moon was the closest to the earth that it will be in my lifetime last night. I mounted the 300mm lens on the DSLR and tried to have a look.

We walked in to hunt without flashlights yesterday morning and this morning. It is crazy bright. I was casting a shadow from the light of the moon.

The tide is about 3 times higher than normal this week with this moon.

The road to Tybee Island near Savannah GA has been flooded frequently when high tide occurs.
It is only a little two lane through a tidal marsh built on landfill.
It needs to be an elevated causeway.
