Brass Catchers
-
What are you guys using, if your using one at all? My AR eject brass right at 4:00 every single time, but its like 8-10 feet away lol. Its a pain in the ass when your at the public range and your trying to keep your brass. The other issue is the public ranges here all want to check the chambers on every cease fire. (which I'm glad they do) So having a Cladwell style on there is going to be a PITA having to take it on and off every cease fire.
I'm thinking of just sewing up a 4x7 piece of fabric with velcro straps to attach it to the scope, just to knock down the brass.

I have the cheap Caldwell ($8) catchers. I quit using them because the brass was so hot with my suppressed sbr that it was melting the webbing. Makes a mess. Haven't
Tried anything else since.

E&L Manufacturing flat top. Turn your volume on max before you hit the link.

@mamalukino Stupid new computers speakers suck, lol.
Those are nice but won't work with a scope mounted on the AR.

I use the canted scope rings from Nikon. There is a little leeway as there is enough clearance to move the catcher forward or back, just need the pins set at the correct width for the catcher.

Just to update, I ordered one of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EB5OU0Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'll let you all know what I think of it.

I have the Caldwell one above that attaches to the rail. It is low profile enough to fit behind the scope mount on an AR 15 and long enough to reach the ejection port. Once in a while the brass bounces back into the ejection port but overall it works very well. Unfortunately it isn't long enough to reach the the ejection port on an AR 10 when mounted behind the scope. For that I use the CTK Precision Brass Catcher (http://www.ctkprecision.com/universal-brass-catcher.aspx). It works well for all my firearms.

I know its been a while since I asked about these, but last time I took my AR I forgot the catcher. Well I got to use it today, and man do I like it. I didn't even notice it was there, and no brass was getting stuck. Kinda glad I spent the $30 and got the nice one.
