The code for September 1st is: HOW

Standing leaning over my hood, weird position my truck is to tall for me like this.
-
5 shots....

I got a 22lr barrel in today for my cva apex. All other barrels I have do pretty good for what they are, so I had hopes of this being a 1" at 50 yards barrel.
I know this is not a precision rifle, but I really expected better than this. I will try a different scope another day and hope that is it. The cheap scope came with the barrel. If not, something is really wrong with this barrel. I can shoot better than this free hand with my pistol.
-
wow... thats pretty bad.
-
-
So I went to the county fair with my wife tonight where I saw this
They let me inside and gave me a 5 minute tutorial on how to use the sighting system
but then they refused to let me do my daily shoot with the 120mm so I had to settle for my savage
-
I think @orkan might know a thing or two about those.
-
That brings back some memories. ;)

First Friday, September 2nd's code is: AMA
Everyone is welcome to post on the Range report thread and everyone is invited to join in the monthly Challenge. You do not need to be participating in the monthly challenge to post your pictures and you are encouraged to jump in at anytime.
It may not be possible to shoot a firearm daily; however the option is there to shoot pellet or bb rifles or pistols. Set up a short range in your house, garage, apartment or your backyard and commit to shoot daily. Get out to a range or hunt when the opportunity arises.
Have fun and post your pictures!

I took dad out to shoot my DT for the first time today. I got out to the field and set up before I realized I didn't have any 308 ammo with me. we shot our glock 19's and a few rounds from the 500 smith and came back home. I guess we will have to try again another day.
-
I've had that happen before. Never fun.

Been busy all day so just got home to shoot

Dodged 2 Hurricanes this week, got some wind and rain. Today's storm's predicted path was just enough to keep us off the range. Dang.
-
I settled a vendetta today. Last month the soffit fell off a section of my house and in working on it I forgot to shoot that day. So today I settled the score by taking one of the more solid pieces out as a target. Shooting at 20 yards I tried two double taps and missed the second shot both times so went to slow fire for 8/10. Not bad for a 10mm sub-compact
-
Awe man I wrote the wrong thing down....
-
I spent about an hour cleaning my mark ii today. Shoots flawless again. I hadn't noticed how gritty the trigger had become. It was bad.
-
It's windy windy windy today, knew the odds weren't good for doves, got a few shots but it was pretty bad. Hopefully Monday it will be a little less windy and we can sit on decoys or whatever.
Still found this bugger, smaller one but it'll be tasty.
-
@rhyno I loved hunting wabbits and quail.:smile:
-
Going to try the sling with the AR Sunday. Got a bigger QR swivel that can handle the 1.25 sling. Sitting in Kaiser with the family. I just got home late due to the weather delaying me in Florida. Everyone but me is sick.
The wife and stepdaughter drove up to Atlanta to pick me up. Insisted they go to the Doctor.
-
@mamalukino you are getting that rifle dialed in.
-
@hypo Thanks hypo,
some days are better than others. I sure wish I was able to shoot either prone or off a sitting position (bench).
-
AMU is the code for Sunny Sunday September 4th.

@rhyno
Barber shop haircut:laughing:
-
I need to get some stickers to use as aiming points.
Didn't have anything to aim at so I just held 1m down and 1m right off the top left corner of the head.
-
Too much distraction, my blue nose girl kept poking me with her nose to play.
-
20y with the fnx tactical. I obviously need some pistol practice.
-
-
Drug the 375 out and launched a hundred forty dollar bill down range this weekend. ;)

September 5th is Labor Day and the code is: CHB
Summer ends and Autumn begins the transition into Winter.
Soon the coyotes will be in to their winter coats and the pups of the year will bring the prime pelts. Some fortunate folks will be calling them in and relieving them of their fur.
-
It was a very windy day here with lots of mirage. I shot 10 times and finally got 4 hits at 600. I need to put the ARD back on the scope if I am going to shoot in the morning here again.
-
 First shot of the day. It was only 10 yards or 914.4 CM but it thrilled me. Ace of spades down!
Dang forgot the code:laughing:Too excited, I 'spect:laughing:
-
wow! That is awesome!
-
Awesome shot @mamalukino
-
Spent all day chasing Doves.
Hunting corners isn't like hunting pastures and marijuana. They just dive over the corn or beans and they're impossible to find.
I ordered some decoys so we'll see how that goes when it gets here.
Walked a long ways today. Oh well will try again next weekend.
-
Tuesday's code is ETT:smile:
-
Bangin' "steel" at 914.4:smile: Got the call, possible range day on the 12th!!
-
6 for 6 at 600 including cold bore. Little Girl went with me.
Btw. That is her nail polish not mine.
-
I was wondering about you for a second there ddd... lol
-
HAHA! I was too busy checking out that rifle/optic combo, that corn getting closer and closer to harvest, and all the trees in the background.... didn't even notice the nail polish, or that you had mentioned it below the picture!
-
The corn is almost ready. some farmers are already harvesting it here, but this was the last field planted for the farmer that farms it. Good news is the field I deer hunt in was planted first...so as soon as it is shelled I can start trying to call some coyotes. I know there are coyotes around here as I have seen and shot a few...just haven't ever tried calling them. We will see how that goes in a few weeks.
-
Speaking of shooting crappy guns (in another thread) the MKII decided to be accurate today.
-
I am hoping to take the 22 out again tomorrow
-
ERR is the code for September 7..

I hit 2/3 shots today. I hit the cold bore...then the wind changed slightly and I missed the middle shot...then the last one connected. I love the sound of steel ringing.
