The new reloader powder.

According to Alliant testing their new line of temperature stable powder is pretty impressive.
I stumbled on this image today comparing the new RE16 to Hodgdon 4350

If true that's impressive.

Alliant says their powder is better than the competitors eh?
You don't say. ;)

Haha, well of course.
If I could easily get a pounder I wouldn't mind testing it.

I have been playing with R26 for a 243 Win. With a 105 A-Max and H4831 and was getting 2890 in winter and 2923 in summer. I switched to R26 for the 105 A-Max I'm now getting 3200 for summer and winter when I developed the load I was getting 3188. The rifle has a total of 842 rounds and has been put to bed until December so I can try and get a better look. I know this is only one rifle and not solid data but thought I would share.

So an update on my load with RL26 last time I shot the rifle from my log was 92F and 901 rounds getting 3203 FPS made it out last week and last week temperature was 19F and same rounds were moving 3168 FPS for a change of 35 FPS for 2.08 per degree. Each test was 20 rounds over my MS V3.

What chronograph was used?
-
MagnetoSpeed V3. I know it IAS a very small sample size.

Thanks for the report.
