MDT has 6 Rimfire chassis on the way

I'm a bit excited, I believe that there is some consistency to be had out of my Savage MKII yet. Frankly the Boyds Tacticool stock it's in right now isn't worth the cheap laminate it's made out of, and I'm fairly sure that's why the zero wanders so bad on it.
Initial offerings are planned to be:
Savage Mark II
Ruger American
Browning T-Bolt
CZ 455
ANSCHÜTZ 1712
ANSCHÜTZ 1416

Very cool that there will be more options available. However, I wouldn't get your hopes up that a chassis system will turn the savage MKII's into anything but a budget rifle with so-so accuracy.
Once upon a time I spent a considerable amount of money prototyping several chassis systems for the savage MKII. It seemed to help my rifle a bit. However, the money spent was certainly not worth the gains received. The money would have been far better spent on a better rifle. I learned that the hard way.

Definitely wouldn't expect there to be an accuracy increase.
But maybe a consistency increase.
The way the Boyds is set up, the stock sandwiches between the bottom metal and the action. With a gap between the Savage pillars and the bottom metal, and nothing really to capture recoil besides that pressure.
Of course the stock cracked in most of that area right away, and changes can be seen with the raise and fall of humidity.
It would be nice to improve that aspect, try and keep the zero from wandering, and keep the MKII for a precision squirrel/rabbit/chipmunk killer.
It probably is just pissing in the wind though.

That's exactly what it turned out to be for me. If I'd have stopped pissing around and bought a sako quad in the first place... life would have been a lot easier a lot sooner.
Heck, even a CZ is a lot nicer than those savages. They are truly bottom rung. A rung shared by marlin, mossberg, and other crappy rifles. ;)
Even my daughter's single shot savage rascal is starting to fail to eject now.

Your daughter needs a Rem 40X repeater.

Agreed! However, she's 6. A big 6, but still can't handle a regular sized rifle. ;)

Use a chassis with a collapse able stock

Oh boy. I could. ... I could do that.
