Post that picture in the range report thread. At the beginning of each month, include your time zone; as pictures must be posted by 11:59 p.m. your time zone.
-
Do this at least one time per day, for the entire month
-
BB guns and such are still allowed as long as the projectile you're firing is metal you're good.
At the end of the month, each shooter to complete the challenge will be added to the leaderboard and will be entered to receive the Gunhive.com Shooters Challenge prize!
Thank you and we all look forward to the results!

From @mamalukino post earlier today
"It is First Shot Friday and July 1. Today's code is ACE
It's a new month and it all starts with that first shot.
So load up, the range is hot.:laughing:Congratulations to rhyno, tunnel-ratt, ddd007 and mamalukino for completing the June Challenge."
-
Zero a different ammo, shoots pretty good. Paper and custom gong to ring in the new month.
-
First shot got away. Then four in one hole.
-
Well, when I focus on the front sight, good things happen (until i shoot trap then I focus on the front sight and miss)
5 shots 5 yards.
Need to work on speed however.
-
was out of town all day so I shot the bb pistol again today
-
Code for Super Saturday July second is :MAG
Have fun and be safe this weekend.
-
Went back to 10 yards, and had one get away from me.
-
Practice for feral cat relocation.
-
Guys with money shoot 40x's ... meanwhile broke Tennessee Hill-billys do stuff like this to their rifles to get better groups. If necessity is the mother of invention poverty is the father or at least the weird uncle no one talks about. I got the angle wrong on the 2x4 block and ended up having to max out my elevation to hit an inch low at 50 yards but it was fun and did tighten up my groups slightly. Again I am eager to see what this rifle does with something better than CCI SV.
-
@tunnel-ratt Awesome hardware:laughing:
-
This is today's best group. I seem to be getting more fliers than I used to. How often do 22 barrels need to be cleaned in order or maintain their accuracy. I don't think I have ever cleaned it and wonder if that might get the groups back to where they were 300 rounds ago. They still are not bad, but just not as consistent as they used to be.
-
The only time I clean 22lr barrels is when I'm changing ammo types.
Cleaning certainly won't hurt however, if done right. :)
-
July 3rd, is Social Sunday and the code for the Gunhive Challenge is: ALM
-
Feral cat relocation practice, again today.
-
-
I shot 7 times at 20 yards and my target fell. I shot the last three at a 4" steel swinger at 50 yards and surprised myself when I hit it once. Couldn't do it again if I tried. Lol
-
for social sunday I took out a friend and helped him sight in his AR he has had for about a year and never shot. then I shot my J-Frame at this can starting at about 10 yards hit it 4 times and then hit about an inch low on the fifth shot where it had rolled to about 15 yards. after it rolled on its side one shot almost missed but creased the side and tore the can open.

10 shots at 10 yards just as it is starting to rain. Hope the fire works don't get rained out. The kids are excited.
-
-
We had a blast today. Some still shots from some video that was taken.
-
My 6BR made a great "fuse" for the kaboom! That stuff is addictive to shoot.
-

I wrap my tannerite in bright colored duct tape before shooting at it. That makes it easier to see and holds everything together if a bullet just grazes the can. Otherwise it can spill out on the ground without going off.
Btw. I've never tried it, but I have heard that one should not put several pounds in a lawnmower and shoot it from a very close distance.

nice tip!

Why? What could possibly go wrong?:joy:
-
Miss Kitty gets a nose job....
-
-
-
Shot the BB Pistol today I also included my "genius" BB trap made out of a animal cracker bucket. Works great with my piece of junk 200fps pistol.
-
@tunnel-ratt can recycle the ammo..:laughing:
-
Shot some "rimfire" exploding targets today. Holy hell. Unpleasant. The flash through the scope was blinding... and the explosion was deafening. Even at 75yds, about 3 teaspoons of the stuff is enough to blind and deafen you. I think I'll stick with the full speed stuff for centerfires from now on. ;)

Indeed. It was as if a little sun formed, and I had that damn spot in my eyes for 10 minutes. Unpleasant for sure.

SOP is the code for Wednesday, July 6th 2016.
-
I shot early today. It is gonna be a busy day so I had to shoot early if I was going to.
I went 5 for 5 on my 2/3 torso at 605 yards. That is something for me because the wind was blowing more than normal today. It was a half mil hold at 600. Then I shot one time at my 7" round plate at 600 and hit it as well. I stopped there while I was ahead. Lol.
I would not have been able to do this three months ago. 3 months ago I was walking the bullet in when the wind was blowing like this. I do believe the daily shooting is paying off.
On a side note, I have already primed every piece of empty brass I have now...so I should be good to go for a while.
-
I try to shoot early everyday before attending to anything else. Participating in this forum and the Gunhive challenge has been extremely motivational.
-
I unlike you smart motivated people did not go shoot early this morning and so got stuck shooting the bb pistol again this evening.
-
-
July 7 , 2016 is 3 shot Thursday; and the code is: MOD
Let's try and get them all in the same hole!
-
-
not great today I apparently flinched really bad on my fourth shot. 5@15 feet
-
Wind was moving the trees today and it shows on the target.
-
This is the virgin target for today. Behind is the hill with the steel targets.
I staple these squares on so I can pull it and get a picture with the code on it and the rifle. There are the foulers for the 308 and the 223.
-
At least you got some live fire in! ;)
-
If I could drive there, that distant steel was open for me to ring, and there wouldn't be issues trying to get rifles there, I would come shoot with you there. Man that is some good looking views.
-
@brittel I got some rifles, but you might get a bit wet if you tried to drive here. LOL
-
I don't think they lift a truck high enough to cross the pacific lol
-
When I went to Honolulu to shoot the FTR matches you have to fly the 90 miles. About 300 bucks just for airfare and then you need to rent a car and hotel room if you don't have friends or family you can stay with. I wish there was tunnels between all the islands or a ferry boat.
