New load workup for 22BR

  • I'm getting afraid of shooting up all my H4350, so I had to bust out the Varget to try to relieve the pressure for the rest of this summer/fall. (...and possibly spring if this panic doesn't let up!)

13mph 2:00 wind, so I think she'll center right up in a calm condition.

Opened up a new batch of bullets too. 2000 Berger 80.5gr Fullbore 22cal's. 30gr of Varget was just the ticket for 3100fps of surely dead prairie dogs out of this 20" TS Customs rifle.

  • Very nice!

  • @orkan , excellent results. If you like the target I can have a bunch more printed up for you and sent to your office. Curious, have you shot any of the Berger 85.5's or the Sierra 77's?

Fired a few in others rifles. Never worked with them seriously on anything of mine.

  • This morning I laid down properly behind the 22BR I was shooting yesterday. I'm always hesitant to shift my zero when I'm up on a bench. Just isn't as stable as getting down on the planet. Turns out I had to come a click right after all.

    Fired 3

Fired2, came a click right, fired 3 more. Much better.
