I can neither confirm or deny. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

  • Decided to give the M&P9C a rest this month and if I shoot my pistols it will be the M&P9.

First thing I noticed is I sure do miss that extended magazine release.

    75 yards
    5-shot group
    CCI Subsonic Hollow Points
The stars aligned and the correct 5 rounds were stacked in my magazine. This .22lr certainly likes the cci sub hollows, but not every 5 drop like this.

    On the board early today.
Air rifle today indoors. I'm actually impressed with this thing. That's still easily minute of squirrel.

I'm using a stack of magazines leftover from shot show as a bullet trap till I improvise something better. This rifle seems to defeat 5 magazines. Good to know.

@ragnarnar what air rifle is that? I looked to see if you posted what is was but I didn't find anything.

x2. These threads and the birds eating all the seed off my lawn have me wanting an air rifle.

You are in Arizona now. Forget the air rifle and get a good bolt action 22 and a suppressor!

  • raining today so I used a 2 liter bottle cap instead of a paper target. after a couple of shots it started bouncing around so the last couple are in the side of it.

  • Just got a glock 17 upper for my glock 22 frame. It is ugly, but was cheap and seems to function fine.

Well I have the bolt action .22 already. and while I want a surpressor, that want it far down my list of wants. I need to buy a decent optic, build up my sons AR, and buy a compact pistol for carry.

With a Form1 and $200 tax stamp, you can make your own...not so hard for a .22lr and you.

  • stopped at the range on my way to pick my kids up from daycare, battery too low to take pictures at the range. 15 yard group, only 9 rounds in the target. number ten found a clay pigeon on the berm, surprised myself and the other two shooters by dead center hit at 35 yards!NcGYa4A.jpg

  • Well shit, I shot today, and took a picture but the date is out of frame, oh well I guess, I can't really get out to the range at this time to fix it, and I already painted over it or I'd just snap another pic here at home. Oh well.

  • @irish @norcal_in_az

Its actually just a cheapo Gammo job. I think its a "Whisper Cat II" or something. It has something that resembles a suppressor built onto the end. I think it was less than 175 out the door with the scope. I got it to shoot at squirrels in my back yard in suburban CA shortly after I left the Army.

Actually, later on, when I lived in Davis, I had a couple of tree squirrels crawl up under the hood of my car and chew out a bunch of wiring. Long story short it cost me about 600 bucks to fix, because they had to drop the engine to get at it.

After that day I swore never to rest until I killed them all.

Davis is a notoriously liberal college town despite the fact that most of the surrounding area is red. (I was literally called a "baby killer" there once) This place is so egalitarian they spent something like 100K+ of taxpayer dollars (all said and done) on a tunnel for toads under a road. http://www.atlasobscura.com/places/davis-toad-tunnel

To say I didn't fit in would be a massive understatement.

I knew if I got caught I'd get crucified, so I used to remove a screen from a window, turn off the lights and shut the blinds on all the other windows then sit way back on the opposite side of the room so the sound of the piston slamming would get caught in the house. Then it was a simple matter of checking that nobody around or looking in my direction before shooting squirrels. I lived in a condo complex of 400+ units and still managed to get 20-25 of the bastards out of the giant oak out in front of my unit.

I considered using CCI Subs and improvising a suppressor or CB caps, but I didn't want to take the chance with the legality of using a firearm (or an illegal suppressor) inside city limits.
Given the option that'd have been my first choice, like I tell the people at work, "all I want is a suppressor."

  • I am awaiting parts to rebuild my pellet rifle and in the interim I have set up an indoor rifle range/lane in my garage. I am hoping to get a phone call invite to the real range before our scheduled 5-29 range day. This place has sure changed from when I was a youngster, we used to set up targets and shoot, no problems. I sure would like to be burning gunpowder instead of helping plants make chlorophyll.

Not my best shooting but really happy with the new trigger. Shots were much more predictable. I'm going to blame these groups on mirage. The target was dancing really bad because I was on the ground and so was the target.

But I'm really happy with this load now. Dialed up 7.5 MOA for 400 yards and hit the steel on the first shot. Then I drilled some clays at 400. Then shot steel at 920 yards. Dialed up 31 MOA and my elevation was dead on. Adjusted for wind and was missing by inches. I was shooting up hill so it made NPA really hard as I couldn't get low enough behind the rifle.

Overall a great 20 rounds and hour killed.

I bought a glock 27 a few years back to act as backup to the glock 22. I figured why not, it uses the same round, parts and magazines. I've probably got less than a hundred through it.

It's kinda awkward when I go to rapid fire, not being able to get the pinky on the grip, but I've got giant gorrilla hands.

  • @7david7 your pictures not showing up for me.

  • Better shooting today, I always do one dry fire before my 5 rounds and today noticed I was pulling way down and left.

  • @irish I was signed up for a class that got canceled, and since then I haven't had an opportunity, I'm either busy or there's no class.

    Stupid laws anyways.

  • Sent off the application for my permit last week. Looking forward to getting it.
