Be Kind
-
Ephesians 4:31-32 says, “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Kindness comes in so many different forms. Sometimes it comes in the form of a few words of encouragement. Sometimes it comes in the form of a gift to help someone in need. Sometimes it comes in the form of a helping hand up when no one else is willing to help. Sometimes it comes in the form of standing up for the one who is right when everyone else is putting them down. However, I believe the purest and most difficult form of kindness we can show is forgiveness. When someone has done us wrong, instead of being bitter, angry, and responding with harsh words, we forgive. We forgive as God has forgiven us. Forgiving someone who has wronged us is truly one of the purest forms of kindness.
