Micah 7:18-19 says, “Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love. He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.”
Micah was written several hundred years before Christ set foot on earth. Yet even here God tells of the pardoning of the sins of His people that is only possible through the sacrifice of Christ. I am thankful for forgiveness. I am thankful for His love and compassion that He has shown us. I am thankful for the second chance that He gives us!
