By the Grace of God

1 Corinthians 15:10 Paul says, “By the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.”

Paul had a rough start. Paul thought that Christianity was wrong and against God and he worked to imprison Christians and stamp out Christianity. Paul thought he was right and that he was doing God’s will, but he was wrong.

Thankfully God’s grace was available to Paul just as it is to each of us. When Paul changed, God forgave Paul and used him to teach countless people in his live and every Christian through the books of the Bible he penned. Yet Paul, as an apostle, a teacher, someone who changed countless lives realized that everything he was as a Christian was because of the grace of God.

If we are workers in God’s kingdom. If we are able to influence and help people to know and do right. If we are Christians letting our light shine in the world. If we strive to lead our children in the right direction. We are all of those things and more only by the grace of God.
