Which is the greatest?

1 Corinthians 13:13 says, “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Faith is one of the major foundations of Christianity. Without faith we don’t believe in Christ. Without faith we are living hopeless in this life. Hope is another foundation of Christianity. If this life was all there was, it would be miserable. Hope is what keeps us going and keeps us looking forward to what is to come. Yet the greatest is love. Love is another foundation of Christianity. Love should be our motivation for everything that we do. Our love for God, for family, for the church, for lost souls.
Why is love the greatest? If we remain faithful to God there will come a day when we are sitting in Heaven with Him. On that day, we won’t have to hope any more because all of our hopes will be fulfilled. On that day we won’t need faith anymore because everything that we had faith in will be fully realized. In eternity, faith and hope will no longer exist, but love is eternal. For now, faith, hope and love exist. But the greatest is love.
