Matthew 26:30, “And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.”
Singing is something that we often overlook as Christians. Christ, the apostles, and the early church sang often. When they were happy, they sang praises to God.
Music is very emotional to us. It often moves us in ways that simple words would not. I am not surprised that God would use a heavily emotional act such as
singing for us to praise Him. I think our aversion to singing is often our ability. However lack of ability does not take the emotion or the praise to God out of our singing. The heart is still there and it is the heart that God desires.
