Clean Feet
-
John 13:3-5 Says, “Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, [4] rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. [5] Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.”
Jesus is King and ruler of all. Yet here in this passage Jesus took the role of the lowest servant to wash the feet of the disciples. We are never too big to serve one another. We are never too great to help out someone in need. If the ruler of the world can stoop down and wash feet, then surely I can go out of my way to help when I see a need.
