Oven-baked Country Ribs

  • Oven-baked Country Ribs

    • Preheat oven to 300*F.
    • In a casserole dish, lay out the ribs in a single layer. You might need a second dish depending on the size of the ribs. Season the ribs generously with smoked salt, a few drops of liquid smoke, bbq seasoning and pepper, making sure to get both sides of the ribs well. Be sure to have fat side of ribs facing up.
    • Pour 1/2-1 cup broth around the ribs, ensuring there’s a decent liquid layer on the bottom on the pan.
    • Top ribs with a generous layer of BBQ sauce
    • Cover and bake for 2-2.5 hours (or until done)
    • Using a meat thermometer, make sure the ribs have reached an internal temperature of at least 140*F before serving.

    Plate and Enjoy.

** you could do these in a slow cooker too. You’d want to cook on low for 6-8 hours.

  • mmmm...i love ribs!
