Light

John 8:12 says, “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”Light is a wonderful thing. Light reveals to us what is around us. It makes it easier to navigate around and not bump into things. Light reveals the truth. Jesus is light in our world. He is the one who reveals truth and allows our eyes to be opened spiritually. When we follow Jesus, it is not possible for us to walk in darkness because He is the light. Yet being in the light requires that we follow Him. It takes more than just believing Him. We must live like He lived. Love like He loved. Serve like He served. And when we follow Him, the light He reveals is the light that leads to life.
