100% Sure

Are you sure that you are right with God? Are you 100% without a doubt sure that if you died right now you would go to heaven? We all know and are 100% sure that Jesus died for all (1 John 2:2), however are you 100% sure that all of your sins are forgiven? We know that Christ is our mediator and the one who pleas our case to God (1 John 2:1; Hebrews 12:24), but are you 100% sure that you would go to heaven? We know that heaven exists, that it is prepared by Christ and that Christ is the way to get there (John 14:1-6), but are you 100% sure that you would go to heaven?
The Bible even talks about the assurance that we have in Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-11 tells us that when we have these virtues we have an abundant entrance into the everlasting Kingdom. Hebrews 6:18-20 gives us the two great evidences that heaven is waiting for us. First, God cannot lie and He has promised it to us. Second, Christ was raised from the dead and is at the right hand of God. We know that we have full assurance due to the fact that Jesus is our High Priest who has washed our hearts and purified them in His own blood (Hebrews 10:21-23).
So, we know 100% that heaven exists and is prepared and waiting for the faithful. We know and are 100% sure that provisions have been made for our salvation. Christ has died, sacrifice offered, blood shed, and forgiveness is available. Therefore there is really only one variable remaining. Am I faithful to God? As you will notice throughout the Bible, these assurances are promised to those who are faithful (Revelation 2:10). When we faithfully follow Christ, we have the 100% assurance of heaven.
Are you faithful to Christ? Have you been baptized accessing His blood and receiving the forgiveness of sins (Romans 6:1-12)? Many times throughout the Bible God has promised that when we faithfully obey Him in baptism that He will forgive our sins (Acts 22:16; Acts 2:38). Do you believe Him when He says He has forgiven you? Do you believe that all of your sins were washed away when you were baptized? Remember, faithfulness is absolutely necessary to be right with God (Hebrews 4:11). Do you trust that His blood is sufficient to forgive your sins? Do you trust that they have been completely washed away? Do you believe in His power to forgive?
Are you continuing to live faithful to Christ? Christianity is a way of life. It is a transformation from living like the world to living like Christ (Romans 12:1-2). Have you transformed your life to be faithful to Him? I realize that we are not perfect, yet we are to walk in the light. We are to practice doing what is right. When we make a mistake, we come back to walking in the light and His blood forgives that sin. We are not sinless, yet when we faithfully follow Him, His blood continually cleanses our sins (1 John 1:7-10).
Are you walking in the light? If we are walking in the light, doing what is right, striving to follow Him, then His blood forgives our sins. If we are living right and truly trust God, there is no reason we shouldn’t be 100% sure every day that we have a home in heaven. When we follow Him, we can then trust His grace to forgive, His blood to wash away, and His mercy to bring us home to heaven.
