Forget or Act?

James 1:25 says, "But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing."
God's perfect law is a wonderful thing. It brings freedom (liberty) from sin and death. The truth in His word can transform our lives into the person He wants us to be. When we allow the truth of His word to transform us, we will always be blessed throughout that transformation and following. That doesn't mean the transformation will be easy, but it will be a blessing to us. Yet in order to be transformed by God, we must HEAR and ACT. Simply knowing God's word doesn't help us. We must be willing to act on the truths revealed in His word.
