Calm Your Fears

  • For I am the Lord who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. - Isaiah 41:13

The Word is a powerful tool that encourages us to persevere. We are in for a "rough patch" that need not shake our faith. Let the first thing you do in the morning be prayer. Combine that with a verse from the Bible and know that God is there to help calm your fears.

  • This is it! Thank you @lathoto for this reminder and your faith!!!

Fear is the opposite of faith. The most given command in the Bible is “do not fear” in some form or another. I don’t like the troubling times we are facing, but this is our chance as Christians to shine. This is our chance to show the world what faith really is. This is our chance to show the love of God to those who are suffering or living in fear! This is our chance to practice the faith that we believe in and profess to others. Regardless of how “out of control” the world is, God is still in control!

The Christians in the first century lived in a time when Christians were persecuted, thrown in prison, and killed for being Christians. From prison, Paul wrote 2 Timothy. Notice what Paul said in the following verse. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
