Can money make it rain?

Jeremiah 14:22 says, "Are there any among the false gods of the nations that can bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are you not he, O LORD our God? We set our hope on you, for you do all these things."
Jeremiah here shows his trust in God. Of all of the false gods of the nations around them, the God of heaven is the only one that could bring rain. Today we typically don't struggle with "false gods" as they sometimes did. We don't believe that a chunk of wood or stone has the power or can contain the true God of heaven. Yet we do sometimes struggle with "false gods" of different sorts. Sometimes we place our trust in money, our job, our things or whatever it might be instead of placing our faith and trust in God. We must remember: Each of these things (money, job, etc) are our's only because God gave them to us. We are blessed by God and should place our complete trust in Him.
When has our money ever been able to make it rain? When has our job ever changed the weather? With all of our technology and gadgets, we still struggle to even accurately predict the weather. Yet our God in heaven is the one that CAUSES the weather. Let us trust Him. Let us trust His commands and follow Him.
