Short Action caliber recommendation
-
I'm sitting on an ARC Nucleus short action, and a JAE700 stock. I would like to start planning on a build that will be .308 bolt face, longer barrel life, lower recoil, and has good quality brass (even if it has to be formed). I currently have 6BR, 6.5CM, 22-250 in the .308 bolt face, so I would like something different.
I'm thinking possibly 22BR? Maybe 22 Dasher?
I'm not too concerned if they are wildcats, as I will be reloading for it. Gun will be used for target shooting. Possibly varmints if I can ever find time/land.
Anybody have any recommedations?

Staying with your 473 bolt face, 7mm-08 or 358 Winchester would open up some slightly different options. Both have a variety of projectile options and are easy to load for.

6GT, 6Dasher

I'll have to look at the 6GT. Don't know much about it.
I used to have a fast twist 22-250 shooting 75 Amax that was really fun to shoot. Sold it to fund my Primal Rights DTA.
That is why I was looking at the 22BR.

You've already got some flat shooting rounds, maybe going with a bigger pill might give you that something different you are looking for. X2 on the above.
