Remember no more

Hebrews 8:10-12, “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”
In the Old Testament God prophesied of a time when everyone in His kingdom would know Him. Not only would they know Him, but His laws would be written in their hearts.
He also prophesied that during this time He would no longer remember their sins. Sins under the old law were not forgiven, but through their rituals were remembered every year. In Christ our sins are completely forgiven even to the point that God does not remember them. This is only possible because Jesus is a better sacrifice than the bulls and goats under the Old Testament.
