Impartial judge

1 Peter 1:17-19 says, “And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, [18] knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, [19] but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.”

We call on and trust God. We trust the God that judges without partiality. He judges completely based on truth. Therefore we must conduct ourselves with a certain level of respect (fear) knowing that. God will not turn a blind eye to any compromise we might have. God will not ignore our deficiencies or short comings. Therefore we must strive for perfection. Yet we also know that we are not perfect. We have made mistakes. Our redemption from those mistakes is possible by the blood of Christ. We can’t buy our forgiveness or earn our forgiveness. It can only come through the blood of Christ.
