Luke 17:20-21, “Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation;  “nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
This verse illustrates a major concept that the apostles struggled with understanding and that many today still don’t understand. The kingdom of God is not a physical kingdom with physical boarders and a physical king. The kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom that dwells within us. It has a spiritual king that will never cease to reign. The boarders are as broad as those who choose to follow Him. The kingdom, the church is not limited by the physical and cannot be contained in any building.
