Double Minded Man

James 1:5-8 says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
God has promised us wisdom if we will simply ask of Him. Wisdom is how we use knowledge. Knowledge is attained by hard work, study, and experience...yet the wisdom to apply that knowledge is promised through prayer. However our prayers must be in faith. We must believe we will receive it before we ask. This holds true with all of our prayers. We must ask for that which is good and right knowing that God will deliver. I wonder how many times we don’t get what we pray for because we don’t believe we will get it, or we are not sure. A double minded man is unstable.
