1 John 2:9-11 says, “He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But he who hates his brother is in darkness and walks in darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.”
Hate is a strong emotion that can easily lead us to do things we shouldn’t. Yet hate itself when towards a person is something that is also wrong. We should hate sin and hate evil yet we should always desire that evil people change. We must be careful that the darkness of hate does not blind our eyes.

A tough one for sure. It doesn’t make it easier that some people cannot understand another’s point of view.
