A hundredfold

Mark 10:29-30 says, “And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life”
Sometimes there is some sacrifice to doing right. Sometimes doing the right thing will cost us money or time. Sometimes doing the right thing will mean that we will lose those we thought were our friends. Yet no matter what we give up in this life, God has promised that we will get it back. It might be at another time or in another form, but we will get it back. Notice though, doing right will come with persecutions in this life, but it will also come with eternity in the life to come.
