1 Peter 2:9-10 says, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”
As Christians, God has made us different. We are chosen, we are peculiar, we are a royal priesthood. The entire purpose of God making us different is so that we can show forth His praises. However if we are not different than the world, then we don’t show His praises. If we live holy lives that are different than the wicked world we live in, then we accomplish one of the purposes we have in life. We show forth His glory.
