God’s Will

Acts 2:22-24 says, “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— [23] this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. [24] God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.”

Peter, by the power of the Holy Spirit, preached the people on the day of Pentecost about Jesus. Jesus was confirmed to be the son of God by the miracles and signs that He did among the people. Jesus was delivered up according to the plan of God. It wasn’t an accident and it wasn’t something that God couldn’t stop. It was planned all along. Yet even though Jesus’ death was in God’s plans, it was still through the wickedness of man that it was carried out. Yet even though Christ was crucified and buried in the grave, it still didn’t stop Him. God raised Him up. It was not possible for death to hold him.

There is nothing that our God does that is accident. His will is planned out and nothing we do can stop it. We can either be a part of righteousness in His will or we can through wickedness rebel against Him. Yet either way, God’s will is going to be accomplished.
