Die, endure, deny, lose faith

2 Timothy 2:11-13 says, “The saying is trustworthy, for: If we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him, if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself.”

How will we live our lives? We make this decision every day, and sometimes many times a day. Will you die with Him? Will you endure with Him? Will you deny him? Will you be faithless? Many have died for the cause of Christ and some today are still put to the test. If it came down to it would we be willing to die for Christ? Yet even if we are never faced with that decision, are we willing to endure with Him? Sometimes I believe enduring is more difficult than dying. After death is the victory, yet without death we must endure this life.

Also, if we deny Him then He will deny us. Yet His faithfulness is not determined by our faithfulness. We can leave Him, turn to evil, disobey Him and God will still remain faithful. God will still do what is just and right. We can trust God to always be right.
