1 Timothy 6:17-19
As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.
Riches are not wrong and can be very useful at times in accomplishing Gods work. Yet it is sometimes easy to trust in riches. We need to always keep in mind that our riches are uncertain. They might be here today and gone tomorrow and if we trust in them we will be left with nothing in the end of our life if not sooner. When we trust in God instead of our riches then that which we trust in will last and we will have eternal life waiting for us.
