Death from above

Sometimes I'm not the only predator in the area.
A redtailed hawk with a bull snake in its talons!
-
@orkan Great pic,I just love watching a hawk dive on a critter.
-
Wow-- that is a publication worthy picture! Very cool!

Nature's Air Cav. Pics like this make me miss spending time in wide open spaces. Very Nice shot. Probably a snack for the young ones.

... and then there is the ultimate aerial predator: The Golden Eagle
Just an FYI, I do photography fellas. So if you want prints of any of these, we can make that happen. :)

Is that your property??

@martino1 Some of it.

I've heard prong horn is good eating..
-
@martino1 VERY good.

@martino1
I'm not a huge fan of deer, but I did like me some prong horn.

First, outstanding photography skills. Capturing birds and animals in motion takes a good operator. If either my wife or I get one it's luck. Do you shoot RAW or JPEG? When we first got our Rebel we shot RAW only and finally figured out we could shoot JPEG and RAW or just JPEG. My computer took forever to process the RAW images. I have some kind of photo software but absolutely don't know how to use it, I barely can operate the camera. It usually stays in dummy mode. I bought a couple of lenses to use but when we are out messing around in the pasture we usually have the demo zoom lens attached. I know I have a nifty fifty and a fixed 200mm red ring metal lens and a 2x multiplier. Offhand I can't remember the other one. Splurged and bought a Manfrotto tripod that's pretty nice. That is a necessity for sure. I want a new zoom lens so maybe Santa will bring one this year. Thanks for sharing the images.

@bigfoot Thank you for the compliment.
I shoot in raw only. Every one of the pics above was shot handheld, no tripod. :)
My skill in shooting a rifle helps my skill in shooting a camera.
-
Absolutely, it's obvious both skills go hand in hand. Scissor tails and hummingbirds are fun to photograph and also a challenge, more so the scissor tail. Got tons of them on a hard drive but lots of duds:(
-
@orkan What kind of camera/phone were you taking these with. That cloud pic is pretty amazing.
-
Canon DSLR with canon lenses.
-
Yeah.... Didn't think you'd get a pic with that kind of detail with a camera in a phone. Is that what you use for your stills looking through rifle scopes?
-
@martino1 Yeah, if I'm lookin through a scope, it's usually my iphone x.
-
I really like these pictures. Thanks for sharing.A
