Anti gun study, finds gun bans increase mortality rates.

By 15%
Now, this is on CNN and is heavy Anti Gun. But one thing stuck out to me, more because I'm surprised they admitted it then anything else.
"For example, bans on assault weapons, such as semi-automatic guns, were associated with a 15% increase in mortality."

Can't believe they would report something like that.
Are they finally figuring out that if they report the news, instead of their agenda, people will respond favorably?

My best friend recently committed suicide. He shot himself in the head. I blame his drug addiction to opiates and his mental illness. Not the gun. He had made several attempts to take his own life prior to shooting himself. The issue in this country is the complete and total lack of emphasis put to combating metal illness and substance abuse. Things will continue to get worse if the REAL problem is not solved.

@mamalukino thanks. There's not a day I don't think about him and his family.

His worries are over. As you mentioned, ours are just beginning.
Accountability for ones actions is the only thing that will ensure a sense of self worth and accomplishment. Without being responsible for what you do, you can never feel your worth. Not to yourself, and not to others. That is the dangerous other side of the tolerance agenda that libtards never discuss. When you remove responsibility for one's actions, you remove their guilt, but you also deprive them of their ability to feel the euphoria of a job well done.
That leads to the darkest of places.

I am so sorry about your friend. That is tragic.
We all realize that guns are not the problem and like Orkan said there must be personal responsibility for actions. The lack of responsibility in this country is a direct result of a movement away from God. I'm not saying that a trust in God is necessary to be responsible, but rather that without God we have no ultimate standard for right and wrong and responsibility.

It seems the anti gun crowd is recoiling at this study, trying to disprove it, and discredit it.
