How many of each animal were on the ark?

How many animals were on the ark? Haven’t you heard your whole life that there were two of each kind? Don’t all of the pictures drawn show two of each kind? Did you also know that there were seven males and females of the clean animals and seven males and females of the birds? Why haven’t we ever heard this? Is it possible that something we have heard our whole life is wrong? Is it possible that something that most everyone believes to be true is wrong? Notice what the Bible actually says.
Genesis 7:1-3 says, “Then the LORD said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation. [2] “You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female; [3] “also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of all the earth.”
Now...this is a detail in the Old Testament and of little consequence to our salvation. Yet details in the New Testament could easily make the difference between heaven and hell. The only way to know for sure is to study and know for ourselves what the Bible actually says. We can’t trust what we think is true or what we have always been taught. We can’t trust what most people think to be true. We must only trust what we read in the Bible.

Gotta be careful on HOW we read the Bible.
Reading anything that's a translation and reading without knowledge of context creates quite a problem when trying to understand what we think is true.
