Bullets From The Bible 2-23-18

Philippians 3:7-8 says, “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.”
Paul had just gone through how highly esteemed he was in the Jewish religion. Yet when Paul realized that he was wrong he immediately let go of everything he had and was in Judaism and began following Christ. When he realized that he was not following truth there was nothing he could do but to cut his losses and change.
When we realize we are wrong we have a few options. We can either continue living a lie and hang on to everything we have gained, or we can cut our losses, change, and truly have truth.
Truth is worth whatever it costs. Anything outside of truth is worthless regardless of how important it seems to us.
