Trump orders ban of Bump Stocks

And he does so with the backing of the NRA.
Trump is not our friend he has never been our friend and he has screwed us over.
This has been in the works since the Las Vegas shooting as I and many other have suspected, the ATFs push came from the top.
Gentlemen, Ladies, make damn sure your voices are heard, contact your representatives and chew their ass and guarantee them they will not get your vote if they support this or do not fight it.

If anyone didn't know already, the AG signed the papers yesterday officially banning bump stocks. As a result, all bump stocks must be destroyed or surrendered to the ATF by sometime in March. So if anyone was still holding on to the fantasy that Trump gives two shits about gun owners, you can officially put that to rest. Trump has proven yet again that he is just a con man, telling voters exactly what they want to hear to get their vote. And he played all of the gun owners in this country that falsely believed he cared about any of us.
Keep this in mind in 2020 when you walk into that voting booth, remembering that Trump was a New York liberal, right up to the point he figured out that being a mid-western conservative could get him elected.

Gun Owners of America to File Suit
Against ATF Bump Stock Ban
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) today announced its long-expected regulations banning bump stocks.I want to assure you that Gun Owners of America is now in the final stages of preparing a lawsuit against the ATF and the Department of Justice to seek an injunction protecting gun owners from these unconstitutional regulations.
We will be filing our lawsuit very, very soon.
As written, this case has important Second Amendment implications for gun owners.
After all, in the coming days, an estimated half a million bump stock owners will have the difficult decision of either destroying or surrendering their valuable property -- or else risk felony prosecution.
GOA will argue that courts should be highly suspect when an agency changes its "interpretation" of a statute in order to impair the exercise of an enumerated constitutional right.

@orkan unfortunately there are plenty of anti-gun gun owners that will still vote for him.
I won’t be, but that was decided when he started thinking about banning bump stocks.
As Anti Gun as President Obama was, under him we actually gained rights back (open carry in national forests and parks) under President Trump, a Republican House and a Republican Senator we’ve lost them.
And people wonder why I don’t like Republicans any more than the Democrats, at least the Democrats are honest about their intentions, the Republicans are snakes.

Isn't it Trump's people that keep saying "look at what he does, not what he says"? OK, let's do that. This is what has been said and done:
Obama talked strong on gun control but actually did almost nothing. In fact, as mentioned above, there were some rights restored. And in the ultimate moment of irony on this subject, the Obama ATF is the one that originally declared bump stocks legal.
Trump talked all pro gun when he wanted your vote. Then the Trump ATF declared bump stocks illegal.
What they say, what they do. Remember this when you walk into the next voting booth.
