I don't disagree with the sentiment, but Lemmings aren't a good comparison.
The whole lemmings thing was founded by one study, where the guys doing the study basically chased them off of a cliff.
Other studies haven't been able to recreate it.

This video is horse shit. Those kids didn't give a shit that their microwave could burn a whole building down an potentially kill hundreds of people yet they still have one. Then when they were handed a gun they were freaking out.
