1 Corinthians 10:12 says, “Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”

This is a common, well known saying, but one that still rings true centuries after it was penned. Pride is one of the biggest downfalls of man. When we have the misconception that we are standing we can quickly fall reminding us that we are not as high as we thought we were.

Sometimes we need to be humiliated by our own pride so that we remember who we are. Being brought low can point out where we are lacking and we can then use that to grow once again. The thing is...when we think we have arrived we will stop growing and learning and there are very few things for which we cannot continue learning.

When you think you are standing, be careful that you don’t fall!
