Bullets From The Bible 1-12-18

Proverbs 28:13 says, “He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”
Everyone makes mistakes and commits sin. The difference between the one who receives forgiveness and the one who will be lost is recognizing sin and changing. It is easy to refuse to admit when we are wrong. We don’t want to be wrong and we sure don’t want to admit and change. Yet we will never prosper as long as we refuse to admit when we are wrong.
In order or receive mercy we must confess our sins. We must be willing to recognize the sin in our own lives and admit we are wrong. We must also forsake our sins. Simply recognizing when we are wrong is not enough. It requires leaving the sin behind as well. Yet when we admit we were wrong and change...mercy is available for Christians!
Yet in any aspect of life we must be willing to self critique, recognize our deficiencies, and change. Otherwise we will never prosper.
