Bullets From The Bible 1-7-18

Matthew 7:13-14 says, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
These verses describe the two paths that one can spiritually take in life. Many people feel like there are many spiritual paths that can be taken, but reality is there are only two.
Two gates: The narrow gate or the wide gate. The narrow gate is going to be harder to find and to navigate. The wide gate is open, inviting, and the easy way.
Two ways: The difficult way will come with struggles and obstacle. It will not be easy to navigate. The broad way is the path of least resistance. It is easy, plenty of room, and will be much easier traveling than the narrow way.
Two groups: The Few will travel the difficult and narrow way. Most will not want to put forth the effort required to endure this way. It is not crowded and a vast majority of people will never travel this way. The
Many will travel on the broad way. It will be the popular way. It is the way “everyone” is going. Following the crowd will lead you down the broad way.Two destinations: life is waiting at the end of the narrow way. It is difficult, narrow, filled with obstacles and obstructions. Yet the outcome is eternal life. Yet destruction is the destination of the broad way. It is easier, struggle free, and one can follow the crowd...yet it ends in destruction.
There are two spiritual paths in life. If you feel no resistance or struggles spiritually you are on the wrong road. If you are going with the crowd you are on the wrong road. If you feel like you are not on a spiritual journey then you are on the wrong road. The narrow way is traveled with much effort, struggles, and deliberately. The outcome will be worth the effort...because without the effort we will face certain destruction.
