Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Many view the word of God as an outdated, ancient book that has no meaning for us today. However the reality is that unlike other books the word of God is living and powerful. The word of God is capable of piercing the soul. The word of God is capable of discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart. When we read and study with an open mind, His word is capable of changing our lives. It is capable of changing our hearts. His word can get through even the toughest hearts and change them to be what He desires. The only variable is whether or not we will study that word and allow His word to work in our heart.
