1 Timothy 4:8 says, “For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.”

Bodily exercise is profitable and useful. Bodily exercise helps us stay healthy and feel better. Yet godliness is much more profitable. Godliness is something that is useful in this life (like bodily exercise), yet it is also useful in the life which is to come. Godliness is something that will benefit us for eternity.
