Matthew 19:14 says, “But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Jesus was in the process of teaching the disciples when some brought children to Him. The disciples started to rebuke them for bringing the children...but Jesus wanted the children to come to Him. He made the statement that “such are the kingdom of heaven”.
Have you ever considered all the wonderful qualities of a child that we must have as Christians? Children are honest, Even to the point of being brutally honest. Children are forgiving. They can fight one minute and forgive and play together the next. Children see people for who they really are. They don’t judge based on looks, style, money, or popularity...but rather they see the heart. There are so many great qualities that children have. It is no wonder that Jesus said that we must be like children.
