Proverbs 28:9 says, “One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.”
Prayer is something that we often feel like is always there. Prayer is a very important part of the Christian life and is often times taken for granted. We usually feel like God has to listen and answer our prayers regardless of what we do...yet that is not true. When we refuse to listen to and obey God’s law then our prayers become an abomination to Him. Why would He answer our prayers when we refuse to listen to His laws? Why would He answer our prayers when we have blatantly turned away from following Him?
God does hear and answers prayers...yet we must trust Him, hear His laws, and follow Him in order for those prayers to be acceptable to Him.
