2 Peter 1:21 says, “for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”
When one studies Old Testament prophecy it becomes evident very quickly that the Bible was not simply written by man. True prophecy from God is accurate and precise in every situation. Many prophecies came 100’s of years before the fulfillment and often were about things that the one prophesying did not even understand. True prophesy is one of the strongest evidences we have that the Bible is from God. This kind of prophesy is not duplicated in any other writing or book in any time period. This kind of prophesy is not like the “prophesies” of today where some are true but many are not. Bible prophesy is not like the false peophets of today who claim to know things..and then conveniently change when they don’t come true. Bible prophesy is undeniably from one source and one alone. The all powerful God delivered through the Holy Spirit!
