Gunhive not iPhone friendly?
-
Is it just me but Gunhive doesn't seem very iPhone friendly. Anyone else have difficulty navigating through threads? For example, I was reading a thread on Orkan's predator hunt and the text would t all display on the screen but if I tried to push it to the left, I would bet a menu page that would appear and I couldn't swipe it back to the right. Also, I couldn't get to the bottom of the thread - after a point, I just wasn't able to scroll down any further even though it was obvious that there was more to read. Very frustrating.
I use Tapatalk for most of the forums I frequent but it doesn't work with Gunhive. Is there an app that makes surfing Gunhive easier on an iPhone? If need be, I'll just access when I'm near my laptop; but I don't get on there much. Was really hoping I could use my iPhone like I normally do with other forums.

What browser on the iphone do you use? I use Safari with no issues. Oh and what software? I know my wife has had issues on her iPhone with the latest update.
Although Tapatalk would be awesome.

Gunhive is very mobile friendly. 100% responsive. We have about 75% of our traffic being directed to mobile phones, split pretty evenly between apple and android.
However, every so often an individual user creeps up that has an issue. Roughly the same percentage of users of those respective devices has a problem. We've never really discovered something on our end that's the culprit. It's usually some combination of apps or weirdness on that specific users phone or app.

I use iphone and access through the chrome app. The latest update has been horrible as far as compatibility goes though. I have several apps (including tapatalk) that have had fatal glitches that required a hard restart of the app.
If I were you I might try another browser and see how that works. Or it might just require waiting for apple to sort out all the bugs on the new software. Apple has those bugs every year for the month or so following their new IOS...but they have been significantly worse this time.

Yes, that's what we see a lot. Gunhive hasn't changed its core code in a very long time. Yet phones get updates and break shit. Then they fix it with an update, and all is back to normal.
... so it's not gunhive, its those morons. ;)

The only problem I have is replying/ posting to threads from my phone and safari.

Nothing Apple works consistently. The latest iPhone update changed how we use the phone. My techie son says Apple is moving us toward facial recognition instead of fingerprint scanning.

I pretty much solely access this forum from my iPhone, and there are problems minors one fairly often, but nothing forum breaking. Still way better then most sites, and worlds better then Tapatalk.

You know why?
Right now they track our movements via phone. Your phone records every single thing it hears 24/7, and uploads it. No, you don't need to be on a call or even have your phone turned on for this to be happening. However, all they know is that is where your phone is. They want to be certain its YOU that has the phone, and if they have constant facial recognition checks... that will be easy.
... and we pay them to do it.

Scary to see an Orwellian Society taking shape these days.
Can't say when I read the book 1984 did I ever in my wildest dreams believe I would live to see any of the stuff in it taking place. But then again, I was a naive teenager who read the book and did a report on it to piss off my English teacher.

Eerily, techie son was born in 1984. He had a Social Security Number before he left the hospital. His house listens for him to give it a command and alters the temperature, lighting and locks doors when it is addressed, he has video monitors that send photos and alerts to his phone, watch and work computer when anything out of the ordinary happens at home. It knows him and his wife and calls them by name. I keep expecting to be greeted by a holoprojection when I come to his door. Minority Report can't be far away.

You should see the crap I see in the name of the Patriot Act. If you don't tell the government where all your money is, they have the right to take it without due process. Talk about trampling on our rights.
