Magnetospeed Questions
-
So I feel the time has come that I finally invest in a chrono. From everything I've read on here and other sources, Magnetospeed is the way to go, without spending tons of money.
My question is, does anyone here have experience with the Sporter version? At only $180 it seems like a really good deal. Is the bayonet any different than the V3? I know the display head is different and more basic.
I also have an old iPhone 4 that I plan on setting up strickly for use on the range, No service, just a small easy to use tablet basically. Has anyone used the iPhone adapter for the Magnetospeed? Whats your thoughts on it.
Any other information you want to pass on would be appreciated.

The sporter is not capable of mounting to a suppressor...so if you ever plan to shoot suppressed this will be an issue.
You know the differences in the control module.
I haven't seen a need to hook mine to an iPad so I had no reason to buy the Xfr.

I have the sporter model, still haven't used it much but I am very impressed. All shots read, and most importantly the velocity fits perfectly with the results obtained at the range.

Well I don't own a can and don't have plans to get one real soon so that shouldn't matter to much.
I was just thinking of hooking it to the XFR would make up for not having the better display. After all it's only $25.
