Remington 40X, unfired in original numbered box, 22LR, 5 shot magazine, custom shop gun with stunning wood. This rifle was awarded to a match winner in 1979 and has the unengraved plate on the right side of the buttstock. Plate shows some tarnishing.This is as fine an example of Remington workmanship as there is out there.
That thing is going to go high. Unfired award rifle with a blank plate that hasn't been engraved? Yeah... the price on that thing is going to go full retard.

That would be a cool gun to have and keep in that condition over the years, for sure! Crazy how much these things go for...not just this relic but even the ones that aren't so nice.

I saw a beat up, re barreled barreled action that wasn't firing that sold for over $1000 last week. Crazy.
I bet this one hits close to $10,000

I was watching the barreled action as well. At $600 it maybe would have been worth it.
