Seekins new bolt rifle

  • Well this is kind of interesting.

    http://www.seekinsprecision.com/parts-and-accessories/modern-sporting-rifles/havak-bolt-action-rifle-3.html

It comes with their own action, (which I believe is $1200 alone) McMillan Game Warden stock, weighs 7.3 lbs, Timney Trigger, AICS mag compatible , bolt head is removable and replaceable.

    Kind of interesting for $2200

  • Seems like a pretty good deal.

  • It does seem like a lot of rifle for the money.Only time will tell.

  • Cabela's mailed me their 100 page 2018 catalog this week.
It has the Havak listed in multiple calibers for $599.99 !
Hello misprint. Good luck to anyone getting them to honor that one.

  • I don't know if its that good of deal for $2200. Not when Travis can build you a custom for $2500 on a fully adjustable stock. If it hits the streets at $1800ish, then yeah I think its a good deal.

After having gone down this road, why companies offer $2000 rifles without adjustable cheek rest is beyond me. You can almost bet your next paycheck that this comb won't be high enough once you put a scope on there. So guys will half ass either a kydex riser on there or a stock pack. Neither of which are the best options.

I Never had an adjustable cheek before and now that I have, I don't know how I shot without it before. Just don't know what you're missing.... till you try it. Goes for a lot of things.

  • Yea I saw this earlier this week, a group on Facebook was talking about the misprint in Cabelas. Several of the guys were bashing cabelas for not honoring the price of $599. Nice looking rifle but I agree with the opinion of others, why spend over 2k on a factory mass produced rifle when a custom can be had for slightly more with better options.
