bipod adapter

  • Hi all,

I've been looking at Atlas bipods, and I've noticed that they all seem to attach to a rail as opposed to the swivel mount. I'm wondering if this:

would be appropriate as a mount, or is there something else I should be looking at?

  • That is way more complex than necessary. Atlas makes a few different rails to fit appropriate screw spacing on popular stocks. If you don't have two front sling swivels then you can add a second hole and t nut pretty easily. I have an atlas rail on my 40x and on my tac ops. Both work well.

  • I was going to make the exact same response as the above. I've done it to several stocks and find it much better/secure than those "adapters" that basically slide a pin through only one point. Seekins makes one with an integral swivel attachment too if you aren't using flush cups with qd buttons. Nice product:

  • Thanks, guys. I'll check it out.

Also, I don't know how this got in handguns... could have sworn I clicked on general... lol.

  • Atlas rail will work with swivels. Just use one as a screw
